The latter part of 2019 is a busy one for the TDT Machine Tools Service team. We have a simultaneous installation of another Kafo double column taking place in Birmingham this week as we finish off the training at the Coventry installation.

Sheltee has again done an amazing job for us of unloading the 3 containers, drilling and grouting, then building the first phase of the machine installation. Customer couldn’t believe his eyes as three containers weighing over 20 ton each turned up at 2 hour intervals and were unloaded and unpacked on day 1. Sheltee’s Versa Lift “Big Tich” in use as overhead crane max load only 10T

Next comes the major structure of the machine build, columns…….

The electrical panel, Heidenhain control, toolchange now on and guarding now being fitted.

The service team will have this machine up and running over the next 2 weeks ready to move onto the next installation in November.
