2023, A Record Year for TDT Machine Tools and New Business Manager
TDT Machine Tools is on an exceptional growth trajectory. In 2023, we witnessed a remarkable 82% increase in our order intake value, with standout performances from Lagun, You Ji, and Kafo. These brands have not only solidified their presence in the market with machines ordered and delivered throughout the year but have also set the stage for further installations into 2024. The momentum continued into the new year, with TDT kicking off 2024 with a ground-breaking £1.1 million order for a Lagun floor type universal mill in January—marking the first of its kind to be installed later in the year.

This surge in sales and the expanding demand for our products has presented us with the exciting opportunity to enhance our Sales Team and Service department. In line with this expansion, we are thrilled to welcome John Hawkins to the TDT family. John is a seasoned engineer with decades of experience in the engineering field, making him an invaluable addition to our team.
John’s illustrious career began over 25 years ago as an apprentice machinist, eventually leading him to roles as an applications engineer and production engineer for several prestigious cutting tool and manufacturing businesses. Over the past 15 years, John has honed his skills as a technical sales manager for well-known machine tool companies, covering the the UK and, more recently, focusing on the north and east of the country.
Upon joining TDT Machine Tools, John expressed his enthusiasm for our approach to quality and service, stating, “TDT’s reputable, high-quality range of machines and outstanding service support are the key reasons I am pleased to be joining TDT Machine Tools. TDT doesn’t spread too thinly with a huge selection of brands but focuses on a handful of premium, large capacity machine tool products.”
