Features
- Robust and stable steel rotary table (diameters 1600 & 1800mm) at the top
- Rotation speed rpm. of 400 rpm, and a torque of 8,400 Nm
- Rotated by 2 servomotors (14 Kw each) obtaining 28Kw in 2 working ranges
Lagun TM Cross Moving Column Milling & Turning Machine (TM-T)
The Lagun TM is a highly capable cross moving column machining centre (with integrated turning TM-T), designed for manufacturers who need to combine heavy milling and vertical turning in a single setup. It is ideal for large, complex components where accuracy, rigidity, and reduced handling time are critical.
By integrating a powerful C-axis rotary table with a rigid V-axis cross moving column design, the TM-T allows multiple machining operations to be completed without repositioning the workpiece — improving accuracy, shortening cycle times, and reducing overall production costs.
Key Capabilities
-
Combined milling and turning in one machine
-
Cross moving column design for superior rigidity and geometric stability
-
Vertical turning capability via high-torque rotary table
-
Reduced setups for improved accuracy and productivity
-
Ideal for large, heavy, and high-value components
Rotary Table & Turning Performance
At the heart of the TM-T is a robust, high-precision steel rotary table, engineered for demanding turning and milling applications.
-
Table diameters: 1,600 mm or 1,800 mm
-
Maximum rotation speed: up to 400 rpm
-
Maximum torque: 8,400 Nm
-
C-axis positioning for precise interpolation during milling and turning
The table is driven by twin high-power servo motors:
-
2 × 14 kW servo motors (28 kW total)
-
Dual pinion gear transmission with electronic preload
-
Excellent positioning accuracy, high torque transmission, and smooth rotation
-
Optimised for both low-speed heavy cutting and higher-speed finishing operations
Structural Design & Accuracy
The TM-T’s cross moving column architecture ensures that cutting forces are absorbed by the machine structure rather than the workpiece:
-
Rigid column movement on the V-axis
-
Optimised weight distribution for consistent accuracy across the full working envelope
-
Designed for long-term thermal and geometric stability
-
Well suited to hard materials and heavy cuts
Typical Applications
The Lagun TM-T is commonly used in industries requiring precision machining of large components, including:
-
Energy & power generation
-
Aerospace structures
-
Heavy engineering & subcontract machine shops
-
Defence & nuclear components
-
Large flanges, rings, housings, and complex prismatic parts
Why Choose the Lagun TM-T?
-
One machine for milling + turning
-
Fewer setups, fewer errors, faster throughput
-
Proven Lagun build quality and long service life
