The
You Ji CY-550H+APC
vertical turning centre is a compact, high precision, heavy duty machine with an integrated pallet changer engineered for uninterrupted production, either in stand alone or production line applications. Designed for turning of medium sized workpieces, the machine’s standard turning diameter is 550 mm, maximum 698 mm, and maximum cutting height 485 mm
The machine’s rigid vertical column and base are Meehanite castings, heavily ribbed for to minimize thermal distortion and dampen vibration. The X- and Z-axis linear guideway system enables rapid traverse rates of 20 m/min. Box ways are available as a no charge option. Class 3 ballscrews are driven directly by the servo motors, eliminating belts or gears.
The spindles feature a heavy-duty design that incorporates high-precision double roller bearings and 45˚ angular contact thrust bearings. NN type spindle bearings are used to endure high centrifugal loads and heavy spindle loads. The 22kw
Fanuc spindle motor provides high torque at lower rpm and delivers power for heavy duty machining as well as high speed for fine finishing. An optional ZF planetary gearbox is available to supply high cutting torque on large diameters.
An 8-position (10-position optional) hydraulic turret provides for 0.5 second index time and automatic shortest route tool selection. A live tool turret is available as an option. The standard chip wash system forces any chips from the machining area into the conveyor.
The machines can be custom-tailored to fit specific production requirements via a large variety of options including a C-axis and live tools, Y-axis capability, radial and axial live tool heads, an automatic tool pre-setter, special chucking/fixturing, and automatic loading/unloading systems.
